Software you buy once.
selva.run exists because the pricing model won, and the pricing model is bad for you.
The argument
Almost every tool a small business runs on is now billed per contact, per seat, per month — a bill that grows every time you do. You succeed, and the reward is a larger invoice for the same software you were already using.
There used to be another way to buy software: you paid for it, you had it, and it kept working. That model never stopped making sense; it just stopped being offered. selva.run offers it.
Buy once, run it on your own infrastructure, and your costs track what you actually use rather than how well you are doing.
What we sell
Selva Mail is email marketing and transactional sending that runs on your own AWS and sends through your own Amazon SES account. $497, once. It is the commercial product, and it is what funds everything else.
Selva CMS is headless content management, released open source. It is not a revenue line, and it is not a trial for something paid.
How we write about it
Two rules, both self-imposed and both occasionally inconvenient.
We do not claim what we have not built. Every capability described on this site is one that exists in the shipped product. Where something is planned but absent, it is absent from the copy too. The site is audited against the codebase, not against a roadmap.
We do not claim numbers we cannot measure. No delivery-rate percentages, no latency figures, no uptime claims — not because they would be unflattering, but because nothing here instruments them, and a statistic nobody measured is just a decoration.
The cost calculator will tell you when Selva Mail is the more expensive option for you. That is deliberate.
